Fall Fishing

Posted by admin on November 2, 2011

Fall fishing is one of my favorite times to be on the water! The Bass are usually moving up and trying to get fat for the winter months. Some of the Lures, I always have on my deck is a J.D. Lures black buzz bait . might not get a ton of hits but when they do hit usually it will be a pig. I throw a trap and rip it through the weeds alot in the fall as well this can produce sometimes some good fish as welll and good numbers. When the water temp gets around 50 degrees I throw a jerk bait and silver buddy alot. The last few years, if the fishing gets tough I usually throw a shaky head they will hit it believe or not all year long. These are some the techniques I use on the water in fall .

Tournament Results

Posted by gary on September 19, 2011

Saturday fished an open tourney on Lake Wawasee in Syracuse Indiana. Two days of practice up there I had cloudy skies and some great wind moving the bait fish around on the flats . Both days had a good limit on a DT and a Bandit 100 crankbait . Tournament day had a limit in the first hour and the sun came out and shut off the cranking bite. I could not get that kicker fish all day! Ended up in 5th place with a limit weighing 7.96 .
